Hello guys,

is there a way to cap the network connection for one of the servers on the Cisco 12000? Like 3mbps cap instead of qosprofile Percent.

I have cisco 12000, blackdiamond & 3com switches.

thanks.

You can deploy traffic shaping or rate limiting depending on whether you want you want to do with traffic from server on that port that bursts over its alloted bandwidth reservation.

Shaping will attempt to buffer excess packets and ensure their delivery whilst rate limiting will drop or permit any packets that burst over the configured limit.
