I just installed NT server as a second OS on an Omnibook 4150. The user wanted NT Server and SQL server set up on a D: partition. I used partionMagic to create a D: logical and installed NT server there.

when I try to install the video driver the process goes peachy. I get a "driver installed successfully" and it tells me I need to restart the darn machine, Great!

Problem is, when I reboot, the machine is still using the generic driver. Done and redone several times. The initial attempts were using drivers from the driver pakage downloaded off the HP website today. Then I went to the C: drive and copied the driver file to D: and used the Video driver from there with the exact same results.

The driver is a neomagic256 or something darn close to that. Suggestions?

Are you connected to the internet...mayber try Update from internet. I've done this before when having trouble with drivers...It will check the internet and load the appropriate driver.

Give it a try... Joseph L. Poandl

you need to install the NT service pack 3 or above for the video drivers to work.
