Can't select items anymore

Just recently and for no apparent reason, I am having an extremely difficult time selecting things in Dreamweaver. This includes selecting text, selecting cells and manually selecting cell borders to resize them.

I have no idea what is going on and I have tried everything I can think of to fix the problem. I increased the memory, I trashed preferences, I reinstalled the program from disk, I even performed a clean system install. Nothing works. Somebody please HELP!!!

I am using Dreamweaver 3.01 on a Mac G4, 450Mhz running system 9.1
