I have a hard disk with two partitions running in windows xp. Unexpected the second disappeared. I suspect an encrypt software I have, but not sure (pointsec). What are the possibilities? Tips, steps, ways?

thank u so much.

Can you see the 2nd partition in there? If so does it have a drive letter associated with it?

If the answer is yes to both then it may be that the drive letter itself has been hidden. There are several "tweak" tools out there that can do this, such as tweakui from microsoft. Have you installed any such software lately?

If you do not see it in Disk Management please let us know what you do see in there.
