Can't see shares on VPN PPtP 1

This is my first time setting up a VPN. So far I have set up my office XP Pro machine as the VPN host, with a static ip address. This connects to a Natopia cayman 3546 router which also has a static ip address, but dishes out ip addresses to the rest of the work stations via DHCP. I set up the two pin holes in the firwall 1723 via TCP and 0 via PPTP.

I am able to connect from home on my XP Pro machine and from my MAC powerbook, but I can not see any of the network shares on my work computer. Also when I connect I loose my web browser, it's like it turns if off.

My work computer is peer to peer not on a domain, just a workgroup.
