Hello all,

I'm having an issue where only certain people's outlook calendars are visible in 2005. What I mean is there are several meetings scheduled for January '05, all attendees have accepted, I can see the meeting on their shared calendar using my Outlook 2003, but several users go to look at those calendars and see nothing but blank space starting 1/1 and continuing in perpetuity. I think I've just about exhausted every permission and setting I know of in outlook and the problem is starting to become bothersome as more and more things start getting scheduled in the year 2005. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there mdano1280

I suspect the problem in your case here is Free/busy. The problem is that outlook normally publishes about 2 months of data on the server and thus you cannot see too far in the future.

Follow these steps to rectify the problem :
Go to Tools - Options - Calender Options
Click on Free/busy Options
Now you'll see, it shows : publish 2 months free/busy on the server. You have to change this to something like 15 or how long ever you want to do it. Remember though that this will take up more space on your exchange server.

The problem however here, is that this problem is not on your pc, but on the person whose info you're trying to see. Ask that person to follow the steps i gave you. Please contact me at zyon@starmail.co.za if you have any questions.
