I have a Dell laptop. I can't seem to save my display settings after I shutdown. When it starts up, the video settings are at 600x480. I can change it (with effort) to 1024x768 and all is fine...until I reboot.
Here is a twist: Even when the display settings are at 1024x768, the web pages in IE5 are too large for the screen. I can't even see the scroll bars.

Any ideas??

Hi,

You computer can't handle 1024*768. I find the same problem with my Dell Computer too. It sometimes starts up in 800*600 at 16-bit color. I have to change it back to 1024*768 @ 32-bit color and any resolution higher appears to not fit on my screen. I think it has something to do with the video cards. I have had to replace mine from them because the first one was screwing up. Maybe they are giving out bad video cards. This isn't the first time they have screwed up. Check and update your video driver and see if that helps!

Hope this helps!

PS - You will need your service tag number. NATE
