Hello

I have a rather strange problem on a user at work's pc. We use Office 2000 on Windows 2000 Professional.
If he clicks file>save attachments and chooses any directory an error appears: "The file name is not valid".

(Note: trying to save to hard disk, not a network drive)

This happens for any kind of attachment (word, excel, adobe etc).
I tried giving other names eg file.doc, test.doc.

Nothing worked. I can drag and drop the attachments to a directory, that works fine?!

Can anyone help me?

Regards

Someone pointed me to "Help - Detect & Repair" on the Outlook menu bar for fixing many weird things in Outlook 2000. So far, it has fixed all strange things I've encountered. Have you tried this to see if it fixes this one?

Hi Teresar

Thanks very much for the suggestion.
I have tried that but it still doesnt work.!

I'll soldier on!

Thanks for the reply.
