I'm using Quark 6 on my G4 Powerbook in MacOS 10.2.8 and I can't save my Quark layouts as PDF files. The message keeps coming up, "To save a layout as a PDF File, the current printer must be a LaserWriter, version 7.0 or greater." I'm not connected to a printer. In system 9, I could go to the Chooser and select Laserwriter 8. How do I select LaserWriter in System 10? Please help....

I've just found out how to do this myself! I added a virtual postscript printer in the Print Center. Instructions can be found in the Mac Help Centre, subject, "Adding a Postscript formatting printer".
I've tried it and it works! Yay!
