Can't save as MDE 2

I have a .mdb in Access 2000. I tried to save it as an .mde file but i got an error message saying it can't save in this format.

it's rather large and has links to another .mdb file. Could either of these be the reasons for it not to work?

Most times there is an error in a peice of code try going into your code and debugging

In addition to what Hymn suggested, I believe that there is a problem when trying to create a .mde when there are tables that are linked. I remember reading something on this somewhere, but can't remember where now. Look into that further, I believe that is your problem.
