Hi, i'm trying to move some logic of asp aplication into dll, i move a test dll to the folder of the aplication in inetpub, i run regsvr32 to register the dll and see in regedit that it has been registered. i run the application in my browser and it returns to me the error 2147221005006
Error in Server.CreateObject~Invalid class string.
I have reestarted IIS. My test system is a windows XP PRO with IIS 6.0.
Any hints about what should i do next

Thanks in advance

the class string should be "<ProjectName>.<ClassName>"

... When you ran regsvr32 on the web server did you see the little popup messagebox that said "blah blah registered successfully?

Hi

Yes i see the little pop up everytime i register the dll.
I have achieved that the webserver understand it has a registered dll by giving the IIS account administrative privilegies.
I dont understand why now this works and not work to register normally the dll and give executive privilegie to the normal IIS account.

Perhaps your custom DLL references something else and it needs the higher security level to reach that other thing...

Perhaps, its weird because the dll does not do anything that requires that level of security.
I continue too lookup i dont like to have an administrative account in the webserver,

Thanks for your posts
