I am trying to do disaster recovery for my v6.5 Raptor firewall. I am following the instructions per the Symantec "Moving SG configurations from an existing to a new firewall platform on Windows NT 2000". We are running NT 4.0.

After I follow these procedures to a tee, and start the Raptor service again, the MMC tries to open but doesn't and ends up as "Not responding".

In addition to the above posting, what could be causing this? Note: The volume ID of this recovery host is the same as the production box.

Slider5,
I encountered the same problem so I went to a command prompt and typed rempass. Configure rempass for 127.0.0.1 to remoted manage and put in your password. That should allow you to access the RMC.
