Can't remove assembly from GAC

Hi,

I've encountered this problem where I want to remove an assembly from the Global Assembly Cache.

Typed the following: gacutil /u MyAssembly

It returned the message: "Unable to uninstall: assembly is required by one or more applications". Is there some registry entry that I'm supposed to delete before I run the above command?

Any help is deeply appreciated.
