Can't refresh database at runtime from VB 6.0

HI!
I'm using the crviewer from VB 6.0 to print and preview a report made with crystal reports 7.0. From the VB program i'm able to write at runtime in a database but when i make the preview with the crviewer the report does not show the updated data in the database. i have tried the VerifyOnEveryPrint=True command but it does not work. Please give some hint.
