Can't reconfigure 831 router that was earlier deployed..

Hi..
I am trying to reconfigure a router that was with a remote user and has all the older config files. All I want is to hook it up with the E0(10.10.10.1) port on my
PC(10.10.10.2)via a Ether cable and urgrade IOS and then install the new Startup-Config file via a TFTPserver on my PC..
Please help..

if you have the router next to you, you might want to use the console port with console cable to your com port on your pc.
If that way you can also tftp the image to the router.
