Hi there,

I having a problem of not being able to receive emails from outside my office(i.e. from people who are not under the local Exchange server). Everyone in the office can send emails outside but none can receive emails from outside.

We are all able to send and receive emails within the office.

The problem started after our domain was deactivated by the ISP about 2 weeks ago and reactivated 2 days ago.

I checked with the ISP and found the MX records to be correct and that is why I suspect that the problem could be with my exchange server.

Does anyone know what could be the problem?

Thank you.

Might want to double check that you can recieve anonymous smtp traffic and that authentication is not required under the SMTP properties.

check with and make sure the outside world can see your MX record, just because the ISP says they have the correct IP submitted, doesnt mean the dns servers see it, weird, similar thing happened to me, the domain went deactivated, we got it unlocked and reactivated the next day, and took another day before we started getting e-mails again........GL.....i know what a pain that is

johng75,

no luck! probably I am missing something on checking whether the outside world can see my MX record.

any more ideas will be appreciated.

Sounds like you domain name has not propagated to the DNS Servers on the Internet. Usaully take up to 48 hours.
