i'm having trouble printing with my hp laserjet 1100.. when i use photoshop with the officejet r80xi, it prints out totally fine. but when i tell the printer to print to the laserjet 1100, it cuts the document into its own weird sections. it's like the document is cut in half, and the bottom half moves to the top, and instead of being left to right on the document.. it's right in the middle.. also, the reason i got pm was to create mini-brochures.. the way i have it setup is that, the brochure is sideways (landscape) and folded in half, left to right.. so the left side of the page would be 1, and the right side would be two.. how do you go about numbering this.. (as you can tell, i'm new to pm)and i have '98 by the way.

thanks,

It´s highly recommended to start with masterpages.
For this purpose I have made a brochure:
Download by right mouseclick and print by Acrobat:
"Masterpages and Hyperlinks pdf 505 kByte":
If your brochure consists of single pages (odd and even) portrait,
Then you have to select "2 pages","Not facing".
If your brochure consists of double pages on one page lanscape,
then it´s "facing". ----G.Hoffmann

Continued: The title page (front cover) is always page 1.
This is necessary for PDF Export. In the long run you will
certainly use this feature. Perhaps it´s better to use "Not facing".
Minor difficulties arise with pictures, which cover facing pages.
I would avoid for the first trials these difficulties. -----G.Hoffmann

I just use the "booklet" feature in PM6.5 and set my page dimensions to 8.5 by 5.5. Enter as many pages as you think you'll need and then let PM do the work for you. I print a 10 full page--or 20 half page bulletin for my Lodge, and I also print a 10 page 8.5 by 11 bulletin for Scottish Rite. No problems using my HP LaserJet 1100. Incidently, be sure you've made the proper switches to your LJ 1100 before sending data to it. I have one scanner and four printers, including two colors and a dot matrix. I use a a.b.c.d selector box for the printers, but have my HP scanner hooked to same master that controls my PC and monitor. Contact me on Papajoe32@aol.com if you need to walk through the procedures. If I'm on line and not terribly tied up--I'll be glad to assist you. Regards...Papa Joe
