I have a 5190 Compaq Presario and am using an HP Scanjet 4200C scanner. All of a sudden, when I try to open up my scanner software, it freezes up. I tried to reinstall the software and driver, but, when I try to run the setup CD, I get a message that says the software was unable to open up my USB Ports in the bios. I also am using a video camera on my USB ports and have no problem doing so. I don't know how to get into my bios or even know if this is the problem since I have no problems with my camera. What is wrong? My operating system is Windows Me. I would appreciate any and all help I can get.
