I finally got the linked table manager to run at work and made a third copy of my frontend and placed this on another pc. I set the links with the manager and opened up the database OK. However when i closed it and reopened it says that the microsoft jet etc can not open the db because someone else may have exclusive rights to it. This is not the case and after shutting down other FE it still said the same. Any ideas what could cause this. Are there any network/password issues. If i go link the tables again it opens up again till i close it. 2 other Fe's work fine. All pcs windows 2000.

can't open fe/be database

Esure all users have full rights (read/delete/update etc) in the folder where the BE mdb resides
