All the sudden we lost the ability to dial outside numbers.

Is there a quick fix for this? Resetting the grey cabinet things going to help? Is that safe?

Thanks for quick responses.

If you go to LD 60 and do stat it will tell you if any of your trunks are down, look for DSBL or LCKO (disabled, lock out). If so you can try doing disl #(trunk #) and then do a enll # and wait til you get the OK and then stat the # again to see if its back up.

no resetting the opt 11 is never a good idea.. if you have cli access start in ld 60 per the post.. a reset usually makes matters worse

thanks.

i checked out the trunks and they said they were enabled. however the channel listing showed a lot of Locked out and Disabled. does that mean anything?

disabled and renabled them anyway, and still cant dial out. get the quick busy signal and the meridian phones say Release and Try Again.

Who is your circuit provider to the PTSN? Do you get incoming calls over the same circuit that you make outgoing calls? Maybe your circuit is down?

I get the message "all circuits are busy" when calling our main number.

I didn't know that originally. Is this something beyond my control?

Usually with your PSTN provdier, but if you have T1 cards in a package box, sometimes I find that disabling the trunks and reseating the cards, then reenabling the trunks does the trick.

PSTN? Should I give our Voice/Data provider a call on this?

I would just to make sure they're not having any line problems (also if you dont have access to the package box that I described above)

our T1 cards are locked up in a little case owned by Verizon. they have contracts with our Voice/Data provider XO Communications.

on the phone with them right now. seems like we are overdue for a payment, but we are in the process of dropping them and getting a new V/D provider and our director of purchasing isnt here today so i dont know if he didnt pay them or had no intentions or what. lol.....

the adventure continues.

That's great...I hope your internet connection isn't with them (lose your IP address) and I hope you don't lose your DIDs either. We stayed with VZ for internet, but they recently switched us from Level 3 communications for internet to their newly acquired division (previously MCI) and we lost our IP block. Not too horrible, just a pain to re-do everything.

Ironically, the internet is still up. Which is what Im having this guy check out for me.

I guess they sent a suspension notice for Friday, but he said they normally dont pull the plug on Fridays.

Well, now that the issue has gotten into $$$$$ its outta my hands.

Thats for the big guys to take care of. The longer they put it off, the longer we're without phones and the more business we lose.

Its only a matter of time before I lose my internet too...lol
