Can't make Appointments in Office 2003

OS XP PRO SP2
Outlook 2003 11.8002.6568 SP2

When I try to make an appointment, I fill in the info then click Save and Close, Outlook thinks about it for a few seconds. Then I get the Microsoft Error message.

Then it brings me back to the same screen I was working on.
