Can't make a simple rotation job?

Hi,

I'm a newbie in managing backup systems and triying to make the following:

HW&SW: I have a hp storageworks 1/8 and a arcserve 2000 running.

What I want to do:
I'm triying to schedule a daily full backup from MON to FRI each one on a different tape. Each tape is in a slot of my hp and I want arcserve make the tape switching automaticly.

At this moment my idea is to get 5 new tapes and format them as MON,TUE...and so. Then I will add a rotation job no-GFS and assign one tape to each day.

My questions are:
Am I on the rigth way or damn lost?
If I want to use two "sets" of 5 tapes one for a week and another for the next one alternatively, what do I have to do? I mean, how do I name the tapes and how to make the switch manually.
Wich role do the media pools play in this jobs?

Get rid of the GFS go back to the standard rotation, modify the media pool to increase the # of tapes &/or retention time so that tapes will only move to the scratch set after two weeks.

Thanks. Right now I only have two doubts.

I scheduled my rotation job without GFS and it seems to work with a set of 5 tapes. So is there any problem to have two tapes with the same Media name (ie:MONDAY) and different serial # in the same media pool?

I ask this because the job searches for a tape named MONDAY to make the job this day, but I need that the backups of two consecutive mondays be done on different tapes.

The second question is about how to change the tapes in the loader to mantain the integrity of the media pool. I have two dismount them, then change all tapes and mount again?

Finally another question, Can I schedule a job to make a single backup on SUN on a tape that is not in the media pool but is in the same device that uses that pool?

1) No problem if the tape name is the same, they will have different serial # and IDs. Only one should be in the scratch set of the media pool at any one time.

2) yes dismount/mount or just an inventory

3) yes, a custom job should do it
