i config a samba server 2.2.3a-6 as a NT domain controller, i use MS Windows 2000 Pro to logon, however, a dialog box appear during login, the message is:

"the account used is a computer account, pls use global user account name or local user account name to access the server."

Finally, i can't use the linux account name to login. Can anyone give me answer? Any reply will be appreciate, thanks.

Have you created samba users and do they have passwords? Hint: this is not neccessarily the same as your *nix users.
