Is there any way to format in XP from command prompt? I mean besides doing it by just booting of the cd? I can't seem to get xp to install even with booting from cd. It goes as far as XP splash screen, but just keeps rebooting. Any help?
Sandy

Do you currently have XP installed and it is restarting while trying to boot XP, or it keeps rebooting everytime you try and install XP?

You can format your disk by using a Win98 boot disk available from
However it may be worth getting to the bottom of your problem first.

Is this the first time you have experienced problems with your computer? What are the specs of the machine?

A full description of your current operating system and desired intentions would help in the advice you receive.

The format command is available via any 9x Startup Disk or a DOS command prompt.
