can't get on internet

My norton say there was a trojan in my computer the name was openme.exe
i had delete the trojan but when i restart i get a message can't open openme.exe in msconfig i couldn't find anything
and in regedit nothing too. I read something on the win 95/98 forum that i must go delete it in win.ini
i haven't don that jet becaus i am not home at this moment beceaus when i want on internet i get the message username or password not correct i had retyp my username and pw but i still can't go online does somebody now how i can fix this

i do not know if it's fixd when i delete it in my win.ini

pleas help me :-(

OK...

Look through the WIN.INI file, make sure there's no referense to the openme.exe. Why didn't you let Norton clean up the virus itself?

what Jen said and read symantec.com's recommendations for manual removal of openme.exe trojan horse, if that doesn't work try creating a new network connect according to your connection methods, i.e. , connect through lan, modem, shared, ect.
