Cant get graphics to display correctly

Sony Vaio PCGN505SN,

originally running windows 98, just installed 2000 on it,

I cant find a driver that works correctly everything is blurred at the edges,

could the problem be that the driver(s) for the graphics card only work on windows 98?

I have tried drivers that say they are for 2000, still get the same problem.

any ideas?

Laptop screens are sharpest at their highest resolution (often 1024x768 or higher) - can you increase this?
