On my form, every time I click on NEW RECORD or navigate from one record to next record I have an error message pop-up saying "The macro doesn't exit, or the macro is new but hasnn't been saved. Note that when you enter the macrogroupname.macroname syntax in an argument, you must specify the name the macro's macro group was last saved under".

The message seems straightforward. However I deleted all the macro and build [Even Procedure] to avoid this message but it doesn't do any better. Please help !!! How do I get rid of this "annoying" message !!!

Thank you for anyone feedback on my question.

Open your form in design view, and open the FORM's property sheet - MAKE SURE IT IS THE FORM'S SHEET! - then look under the EVENTS tab. Look down for the ON CURRENT event. I'll bet that somehow, a PERIOD got stuck there, so Access is trying to run a macro called "." when you move around.

If you don't know how to open the FORM's property sheet, when the form is in design view. click the little square box that's up in the upper left corner, where the two rulers (horizontal and Vertical) would intersect. That's the FORM selection box.

If you don't see the RULERS, click VIEW/RULER in the main menu.

If you don't see the main menu, we're both in a lot of trouble... :)

Hi Jim,
I looked over and over again to make sure if there's is a dot ???? I swear didn't see a thing !!!! Any idea ??? Thank you for your response anyway....

Stick the form in a blank db and shoot it over to me. If you can, also send along the table/s it's based on, empty.

Or just send the whole dam' thing.

This should be easy to find. Sometimes it just takes another pair of eyes.

I can't !!! I mean I don't know how to send it to you... it's a big database and lots of sub-form tied to it !!!

My thought was must be the custom toolbar that control the entire application. There must be some macro that running against my form. I am still digging on how to turn of the custom toolbar. I didn't create the database from scratch you know what i mean !!!

Delete the whole dam' thing, tell your boss the dog ate it, and start over.. [smile]

Sorry - I'm not sure what else to tell you.

To turn off the custom toolbar, check the startup options or an AUTOEXEC macro for it.

I am getting one of these myself today. A2K is complaining it can't find the macro "Authorized Users Only" when I try and open a form. What do I do?
