Can't find the desktop icon in the 1

Search your computer for "Show Desktop" file and make sure it is in the "Quck Launch" folder. Locate this folder at
Documents and Settings/ xxxxxuser name/ Application Data/ Microsoft/ Internet Explorer/ Quicl Launch.
If it's not there you might have to fix your computer by using the System File checker (type SFC /Scannow in the Start Run box).
You have three options all via Right Click on space on Taskbar. Select Toolbars then either select Desktop or Quick Launch. Desktop = a list of icons, Quick Launch = Icon for Desktop.
You also have the "Show the Desktop" option (if your not at the Desktop) on the Right Click of the Taskbar.
And you can use the Windows Key + D.
