Since upgrading to Quark 4.11 (on my G4 Mac) I have 2 problems.
If I alter and resave photoshop tif and eps images which are brought into Quark, quark recognises that they have been mofified, and I am able to go through the list and update them. However, I then try to save, and always get the message "can't find required volume or folder" or words to that effect.
Also. when I collect for output to an empty folder, messages come up to tell me that picture files already exist in that folder, and do I want to replace them? Whether I say yes or no, they invariably are missing when I go to check. A nuisance if I've already written the job to CD and taken it to the printer or bureau!
I tried binning preferences, but it made no difference.

Are you running, or have you install the 4.11 fixit xtension?

If so I have found that some of the time the 'can find file or folder' is down to an illegal letter being used in the file name, either of the QXD or the picture itself. Normally when a NT server is being used. If you can't fix it in 20 call someone who can.

Just found this post, probably a bit too late! Anyway, in case anybody's still having problems with this, try disabling the 'Enhance Preview XT' in extensions manager. There's also an update available for this extension that also gets rid of this problem.

Are your file names too long? Let freedom ring!

Don't use any sort of special characters in your filenames and also try disabling the Enhance preview Xtension.
