CAN'T FIND PRINTER DRIVER FOR XP 64

I just purchased an AMD 64 3000 and am using windows XP 64. I have an older laser printer a Samsung ml-1430 which is now discontinued. I tried using the XP drivers for it but after I install them it says they are the drivers for another type machine besides the one I'm using...meaning I'm guessing ...that they are for XP not XP64. Does anyone know how I can get drivers to work for this situation. I don't want to purchase another printer although I did see a Dell 1700 on sale for $129. The problem I see though is ... how do I get drivers even for that one, if I can't get them for the Samsung

You may be stuck with this problem (as many others are too) until the drivers become available, and if ever, as in your case with older hardware.

try it, the error message indicates that the OS can't recognize the printer connected correctly...
