Why can't I enter data in a subform that is bound to a simple select query.

I would appreciate someone to educate me!

First step: Can you edit the data in the query datasheet view? If not, then Access has decided to make the dataset non-updatable and you will need to figure out why.
If you can edit the query but not the form, then look at the form properties.

No I can not enter data in the datasheet view of the query either . . .

Why does access prevent updating . . . does it have to do with the joins in the query??????????

If anyone has some ideas, I would appreciate it.
