hello,
i am hoping someone could help me with this terrible problem i'm having with w2k pro. i installed Adaptec Direct CD onto w2k not knowing that the version I had was not compatible with w2k. (i know, i'm an idiot.) well, i read some articles from the ms support site which said to disable the drivers. however, i cannot load into the system properly to remove direct CD. after it loads the icons from the system tray, i get a blue screen of death saying something about dumping physical memory and it names the driver that is causing the problems. then it reboots and i am still unable to have a successful startup. i can't even get into safe mode because i get a second blue screen of death. i don't remember what it said, but something to the effect of naming the drivers for direct cd responsible for the mess up. any thoughts as to what i can do? i'd really appreciate any help you can give. thanks in advance.

I found this for ya...hope it helps. This comes from this URL..
If you have already done a complete install of our software and are having either of these problems, here are some things you can try to help boot the system so you can uninstall our software and then do a "Custom Install" without Take Two.

If you have a Zip drive, disconnect the cable to the Zip. Or, have a disk in the Zip drive when you power on the system. (Always power the system completely down before doing anything to the internal components of your computer.)
Try disconnecting the IDE cable to your CDR or CDRW. (Always power the system completely down before doing anything to the internal components of your computer.)
Try disconnecting all USB devices that are attached to the system.
When you are able to boot the system into the operating system, you will need to uninstall our software. Then when you re-install choose Custom Install and unselect the Take Two option.
