Yesterday I uploaded a prototype database to a shared drive. I don't believe that anyone is currently using the file, but I am getting 2 types of errors: one, that the Access file is read-only (which it is not) and a Windows critical error message that I can't delete the file (Critical Error symbol: Error deleting file or folder. Access denied. The source file may be in use.) I believe that the file may have been opened and not properly closed, but how does one delete them when the app still flags that the db is being used by someone else? We had a similar problem on the network drive with an Excel file in the past.

Search the FAQs for "who's logged on" and you'll get code that will tell you if anyone's logged in!
