Hi, all.
I have scsi hd 18 gb w/ 29160 controller as a c drive.
and 200gb wd jb 8mb ide hd drive as a d drive w. promise ide controller-Ultra fast tx2.
This ide card came with hard drive.
When I have copied files or folder btw two drivers, erro occured like "Can not copy this because this is too long path" something like that. I can copy , transfer some of files not everything... Very wierd.
I have the latest bios and driver...
So I have conect ed to mother board conecter, It was working fine. Even though It is pretty slow, it is was working...
So my thinking is that ide controller is not good match up with my computer..Then I better buy another ide controller or raid card..
What do you guys think about this probrem.
Any1 knows about this please telll me..
Many Thx.

This sounds like a limitation of the operating system. There are limits on directory depths and total source and destination path names but I can't give a hint of their values in XP.
But with other systems you could ususally go to the directory where your files were and copy from there.
