Hi All,
I haven't used RDS connections in the longest time, a bit rusty. I'm trying to do some testing with Report Builder.

Have a Server 2003 box, running a lot of different sites on different ports and etc.

I've set an RDS password for my CFMX 7 install. The RDS servelet reference isn't commented out. I've set the CFIDE directory to not use Windows Integrated Authentication, but I can't connect via RDS at all. Correct hostname and/or IP settings. Correct RDS password. Both right on the box, and via my workstation, same problem.

I've restarted all CF services, and done iisresets, but all I get are 404's errors from the Test Connection button.

Am I missing something obvious?

thanks all.

I've not had a massive experience with RDS connections myself as i'm on a shared environment and my host doesnt provide them.

You can still use report builder to construct the reports you'll just have to upload them menualy and use <cfreport> to initiate the report template.

From my personal experience though i've found it much more flexible to generate my own forms of reports using the MX7 PDF and Flashpaper functions along with my own queries and loops along with <cfchart> to put things together.
