Runnign SBS 2000 and have Company website stored on it.

Until last week evrythign was running fine, now when we go to website, either internally or externally I get the error message

403 Forbidden - The server denies the specified Uniform Resource Locator (URL). Contact the server administrator. (12202)
Internet Security and Acceleration Server

Can somebody point me in the right direction of what to look for to make sure it is set up right.

thanx in advance

Are you trying to access this server on the page level or on the folder level?

In that case I would say that your site does not know which page to serve up first. Which is usally an index or default.html. I do not know the system you are using however there should be a setting to tell it which page to look for.

Since you are using IIS you will need to go to the properties of your web server. YOu will need to add either default.html .asp.htm and so on. Or index.html .asp .htm and so on. Thry it then. If you still have no luck I would try to chech and make sure that the web share permissions are set correctly. This would be the only two reason I could come up with based on your details.
I hope this helps,
Chris

Thanks to all that have replied, unfortunately none of you were right, but thanks for trying anyway.

It looks like we have been hacked and somebody and has messed around with a load of settings, but we are back up and working now, so thanks again

I am having the exactly the same problem. I am running only an Intranet which I don't want to publish to the web yet.

I have IIS and ISA on the same server. I have a default.asp specified in the properties of the web site and get the same message when trying to access the site via a http:// address.

I have tried everything from various web publishing rules in ISA to IP packet filters in ISA. I have given the web-site various IP from the IP range of the web server.

Nothing I do seems to help. Do I actually need to use ISA if I am only viewing the site internally?

I have been trying to sort this for a couple of weeks on and off and still no joy. If I find any other info I will return otherwise soembody please help us.
