Has anyone seen this on Red Hat 6.0?
According to ps the mysqld threads seem to be running but I get this error when I try mysqlshow.

Thanks in advance,
Nevermind. I fixed it by freeing up the port that mySql wanted to communicate to the server on.
Running fine now. (and Fast.)
