When I use Windoz 2000 backup wizard, to back up some files to a CD-RW I get the error "E: IS NOT A VALID DRIVE, OR YOU DO NOT HAVE ACCESS"

But of course I have access, I'm the Administrator! And I can drag and drop files and folders at will to the CD-RW. I can backup to any hard drive on our network but not to a CD-RW.

Please help

Thanks

Windows backup does not support backing up straight to a CD-RW. Basically backup your data to a location on a disk location and then burn it to a cd-rw. Once burnt, delete the backup file from the disk.

Ah...yup that’s how I've been backing up the system. Is it just me, or wouldn't it make sense to be able to backup to "ANY" removable media?

Come on Bill you dumb ass, get with the times!!!!

Thanks for the reply, I'll just have to buy some software to make windoz a better OS, again! (sigh)
