my config: root-forest dc and 6 child dc all in same domain

trying to add user from root-forest dc to child dc on different subnet. i right-click user acct (on root-forest)> properties > member of ..... in the "Look in" line I only see the root-forest dc....it is GREYED out and doesn't allow me to select another dc.

what can i do to see the other dc's in this tab???

thanks

actually, you would see whatever domain you're initiating this action from (grayed out). If you're trying to add a user from one domain into another domains global group (even if they're in the same forest), you can't. You'd either have to use Domain Local or Universal groups, and you'd have to initiate that process from the domain that contains the group itself...
