Hi All,

I inherited a database that was written some time ago, I can open the database and run the frontend ok. Problem is I now need to make changes to a few of the forms in the database but I can't view the design of any form or table much less make a change.

I tried creating a new database and importing them...didn't work either.
Please help.

From Explorer, try this:
First, select the file with a single click, then open the file with the Shift key held down.

Is it an Mde database. if so You cannot edit any of the forms reports etc

Hope this helps
Hymn

No it is not an MDE it is actually an .mdb with workgroup security. I tried logging in as Admin, but I still could not make any changes and when I checked the owner of the tables they were all 'Unknown'.

There are two ways to try in 'User Group Permission'

1. Give the Admin all the read write permissions on all tables, forms, and queries.

or

2. Change the owner of those tables, forms, and queries to Admin.

Good luck!
