Hi guys,

Now then, I'm currently repairing a friends machine and he is having problems viewing secure sites. Normal, unsecure sites load up fine but when trying to view a secure 128-bit connection all I get is 'page cannot be displayed'.

My mate has got a similar set up to myself which is Win XP Pro with SP1 and Norton Net Security 2003 installed. I've checked his security settings thru the control panel and thru Norton and they are the same as mine.?

Does this niggley problem sound familiar to anyone or has anyone got any ideas.

Thanks,

DaZ

The #1 reason for this problem is that they date and time are not set correctly on the computer.

The #2 reason is that the cookie handling is set too strictly.

Assuming these items are in order, see:

Cheers,

Some of the checklist I've already done, but other points i haven't tried. Will work my way thru them and let ya know how I get on.

ThanX!

Ooops,

Forgot to reply to this thread soz. :eek:/

I checked EVERYTHING in the checklist from the MS site and all settings were correct. Tried a system restore and that cured it.!

Nice one!

Always start simple and work backwards.

Cheers,
