Cannot urn automatic update 1

I installed wn 2k profesional and sp4 without connecting to network or internet then installed avg (anti virus).
Tryd to run the update from ms site but after 5 minutes my avg gives several warnings (winole.exe, blaster, welchia).
Before IE6 sp1 is finished my PC brakes down lsass windows will reboot in 2 minutes ... 1 minute 59 seconds ...

I have installed windows 5 times this week, run the following tools:
DoomCln-KB836528-v4-ENU.exe (mydoom removal) nothing found
Windows-KB841720-ENU-V4.exe (sasser removal) nothing found
Windows-KB833330-ENU.exe (blaster removal) is not a removal allthough the site says so

when I start it is says I need something that I can only get from the windows update site.

One time I installed everything and didn't connect to the Internet, the computer worked fine for 2 hours without any complains form avg but putting in the Internet connection cable (without starting anything) gives me warnings within 5 minutes and within one hour the computer reboots 5 times.

Any of you know how to deal with this? MS doesn't seem to have all the updates in one place where I can download it using a patched machine and put it on the newly installed machine without connecting to the Internet.

Or if it has (windowsupdate) I get loads of files in loads of folders but staring one of them it complains it needs the other (puzzling is not my favorite hobby).

You need a firewall installed before using the net.

Thank you, I installed all the critical patches @ (donwloaded on my pathced machine)

And no virus on the PC yet. It is a pita though the amount of times you have to reboot.
