Cannot transfer call to voicemail

When trying to transfer an incoming call to vmail (f986), it sometimes works and sometimes it doesnt. This happens when pressing a pre-programmed F986 button or enter F986. I think MICS software is 4.0. The voicemail is a 4-port flash (dont know the version). HELP!

What does the display say when it doesn't work

It says "No party connect". I just found out that 2 phones are now having this problem. Tks.

It might be that all vmail ports are in use at times, do you use auto attendant and have a bunch of calls being answered?

AA is not being used. Wouldn't you get vmail busy if all the ports were busy?

Can't remember, don't have flash in front of me right now. Does it happen to certain ext's or does it work for ext A once and then won't work for ext A?

I am a technician working with Swozi2004 and when I was onsite yesterday the transfer would work everytime on a outbound call but would not work at all for inbound calls. I unpluged the phone and pluged it back in and I could then place calls both inbound and outbound transfered into voicemail. Shortly after I left they said the problem is back and now it is starting to happen on a second phone as well as the main 7324.

What version flash is it. Log in to f983 then press 9

We are not onsite at this point. We are returning monday morning and will get both the phone system and the voicemail system software versions then. Thanks for your help.

The switch software is Dr 5.0 & the NAM voicemail software is 4.0.04C. This morning, we reset the voicemail & switch to see if it helps. Any suggestions anyone?

Don't think adding intercom buttons to the M7324 is going to fix it because they have all lines appearing & ringing on the set, but I will try it.

think it has to do with intercom paths system wide ..not on the actual phone having problem...do a search has been adressed in a past post

Do what serviceboy suggests. Each additional intercom button is another voice path to and from that extension.

The phone that started having this problem has had 1 intercom button for years, so I guess I don't understand why it would just start happening.
