I have a Pix 501. I have assigned the outside interface with an ip address of 10.0.0.253 255.0.0.0.

I get a reply when I ping this pix ip address from my LAN. However I cannot telnet into the pix. This is something I really need. Any Ideas?

Hi,

You can't Telnet into the Outside interface of a PIX as Telnet is insecure. If you need external access, use SSH.

Regards Colin.
