Cannot Share Folders - Why ???

Okay, First thanks for having a look at this and I'll try to keep it simple...

I have Windows 2000 Pro and I want to share my folders in Windows Exploer. I would like to right click on a folder to share it but that option is not available. I don't understand why ?

Hi Medieval,

Do you have File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks installed? It is one of the networking components that is typically installed with the OS. Get the properties on your NIC and look for this, it should be in the same list with TCP/IP and other installed protocols.

Also make sure the server service is running/started.
