Hello all,

I currently have a Windows 2000 server that recently stopped giving the option to share folders. There are three drives on it and this problem occurs on all of them. Once you right click a folder the full list of options appears on screen but if you click on properties or sharing nothing happens. The server does not hang or pause.... but nothing happens. I can force the share by clicking My Computer, manage, shared files, new share but I have alot of shares that need creating by first line staff here and they're finding this a long process.
If anyone has any ideas I'd be very grateful.

The first thing would be to check for the File and Printer sharing is checked in Network Properties, if it is and still no go, maybe uninstall and reinstall the File and Printer Sharing service also from Network Properties.

Secondly if this Win2000 Server version, not Pro version, maybe you should ask this question in the Windows 2000 Server forum here:
