Cannot see Dial-up Properties

On my laptop I cannot see the properties of any of the Dial-up connections.
When I right click on a connection and select properties nothing happens
So when I need to change one I have to Add a new one.
Any suggestions what causes this?
My OS is Windows 2000 Professional
