Cannot see DC in network places

For some reason I cannot see the DC in my Network places. I recently installed the etherchannel option from Intel for my NICs which I don't think should have an impact. I can get the DC with the normal \\servername and dns works, and I think WINS is working as well as there is an entry in WINS for the DC. What else can I do to resolve this? Please help. Since I cannot see it in network places such things as Veritas BackupExec are broken.
