Hi,

The following error message appears every time a user presses the save icon in Word.

[Project]_ Save Doc ERROR: 52 Bad File Name or Number

The only way the user can save is by using the X button to close the file and then save. This is the second time this has happened. I cured it before with a re-install but I am concerned that this error will keep occurring.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Tony.

Is it for specific file hames?
There are some limits in naming files, the name can't have quotation mark ("), apostrophe ('), slash (/), backslash (\), colon :)), and vertical bar (|). The name length can be up to 255 characters. There are also some reserved words, as CON, AUX, COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4, LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, PRN, and NUL. They can't be used for file or directory name.

Thanks for your reply combo,

I'm afraid it happens with any kind of a file name or even if you create a new file and want to save it.
