Cannot replay to mail from outside the network

We have a person who can reply to e-mails from anyone here, but when she tries to reply to someone from outside our office, she gets an error saying, "550 not local host cableone.net, not a gateway."

Our local mail runs on Exhcange Server 2000. I can't see anything different about the way her account is configured, or the way her Outlook 2002 is configured. She runs Windows 2000 Professional, as most of us do.

Has anyone seen anything like this?
